In 1970, the Lord began to give a vision and lay a burden on the hearts of people in the Norwalk Alliance Church to plant a church in the surrounding area. The fledgling church met in the New Haven School on Route 224 on the first Sunday of March 1972.
July 2, 1972, the church moved to our present location. The building was a former furniture store and needed remodeling. Early in 1973, remodeling began to build a sanctuary, a pastor's study and Sunday School classrooms.
Twenty-five charter members held an organizational meeting on January 25, 1973. The average attendance was 45. Today we have an average attendance of 300.
On August 14, 1977, a ground breaking ceremony was held for our present sanctuary and one overflow area. The project was dedicated June 1978. In May 1983, another building building project began. Another overflow, new offices for the pastors, an office for the secretary, a library/conference room and two youth rooms were added. This phase of the building was dedicated on November 13, 1984. A ground breaking ceremony for another phase of the building program was held on July 9, 1989 for our current Family Life Center.
